Shamuon Generation of Martial Arts

Shamuon Generation of Martial Arts was voted best Martial Arts Club by the Waterloo Chronicle in 2008 and by the Universal Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2007. This world-class martial arts club teaches both children and adults starting at the age of four and offers several specialty classes such as their Extreme class which mixes martial arts with acrobatics and gymnastics. Both Tom and Lorenza Shamuon are co-owners, while also acting as national director and team captain for the Canadian National Martial Arts Team.

Shamuon Generation of Martial Arts came to me to design their business website and their tournament micro-site. The design of the website had to encompass their brand colours and to convey a sense of professionalism and focus. The website is largely static, but I am in the process of implementing the ExpressionEngine content management system into the website to allow for a more interactive experience. The website is largely based on XHTML and CSS coding practices, but the photo galleries take advantage of the Slideshow Pro application.
